Responds towards LGBT issue (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) booming for now, MIHI UMY cooperates with S3 Islamic Education Psychology in Friday (26/02/2016) held FGD event themed “LGBT Dillema from Political and Religious Perspective” with spokesperson Prof.Dr. Bambang Cipto, M.A. (UMY Rector) and Dr. Aris Fauzan, M.A. (UMY Postgraduate Lecturer).
LGBT phenomenon booming in Indonesia lately could be understood shallow and particularly. Behind all phenomena of LGBT spreads and massive social campaign, there existed role and political intervention of Human Rights institution from United States of America. Could not be denied US been aggressively doing campaign for legalization of LGBT to the whole world, included by rides United Nations policies.

There are 6 gay ambassadors from US nowadays having task in Australia, Dominica Republic, Denmark, Spain, Vietnam, also Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. He cited statement from assistant of Minister of Foreign Affairs Section Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, Tom Malinowski stressed that,”Big corporations is asked to promote Human Rights of LGBTs around the world. In 21st century the government should be helped in idea, energy, and support from business leader, innovator, and entrepreneur to support LGBTs. We should rigid to face injustice towards LGBTs around the world.”
Moreover, Prof. Bambang Cipto also cited statement from US’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, John Kerry in announcement Special Envoy for the Human Rights of LGBT reasons, as follow: ”We must cancel constitutions forbid homogenous married around the world. We works with government, civil society, and private sector through global equity fund around the world. There are 75 countries forbid LGBT. We must struggle and stay active to defend emancipation of rights off all people, without refer about their sexual orientation.”
LGBT problems are serious issue must be faced with great movement. He said,”Nowadays the government not boldly rejects.” Whereas refers to him, government and several other countries should bravely reject US human rights policy, just like on 1990s. Human rights formulation between US and Asian countries differ.
Meanwhile, Dr. Aris Fauzan, M.A. saw from religion perspective that assumes from Islam LGBT as a disease with many invalid just like threaten religion and races, so solutions should be treatment to the patient like Ruqyah. Because al-fahsya’ is human doing be affected by saytan.
In final session, the rector with all participant of the FGD will sought to build the existence of policies could narrow and prevent the spread of LGBT, begins from campus environment. Forum unanimously to massively against this issue from Association of Nuhannadiyah Higher Education, around the world.
Also present in this event Winny S, Yeni Widowaty, Surwandono, Zuly Qodir, Adam Qodar, and Anwar Kholid. This participants consist from many scientific background; religion, medical, law, and social to see LGBT from vary perspectives.
